Ziliya Qansura was born in 1992 in Yanybaevo village of Zianchurinsky District of Bashkortostan Republic. In 2004, she started studying at the Kasim Davletkildeev Republican Art Boarding School. In 2008, she was accepted into the Painting department (Sergey Ignatenko’s workshop) of the Ufa Art College, and later into the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts. In 2020-2021, she attended Joseph Bakhstein Contemporary Art Institute, and since 2022 she has been studying at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
Ziliya Qansura has worked in a number of theaters, including the Salavat State Bashkir Drama Theater.
In her artworks, she explores themes of nomadism, corporeality, and decoloniality.
Lives and works in Vienna since 2022.
