Born in 1944 in Salavan, Ulyanovsk region. In 1961, she started studying at the Art department of the Ufa Art College. Her thesis project titled Portrait of a Mother received the highest grade possible, and Zakharova got a reference for the Painting department of the Surikov Moscow State Art Institute.
After graduating in 1927, Yevgeniya lived and worked in Ufa. She predominantly worked within the landscape and still life genres. She is the author of a series of portraits of her prominent contemporaries, such as Ädiä Sitdıyqova, Milyausha Murtazina, Boris Domashnikov, and many others. Her portraits are free from any grandeur as her style is very moderate.
She was a member of the Artists Unions of the Soviet Union, Russian Federation, and Bashkortostan Republic from 1975.
Died in 1993 in Ufa.
